
Tamara Hunter is moving from Fox to Sony to take the newly created post of VP Casting at Sony Pictures Entertainment, supporting all of Sony Pictures labels. She will oversee theatrical casting strategy, working with the creative team to identify and deliver talent to the studio’s slate of films. She will report to Doug Belgrad, President of SPE Motion Picture Group.
Hunter served a similar role for Fox, where she worked on films including X-Men: Apocalypse (20th Century Fox), Wilson (Fox Searchlight), Why Him (20th th Century Fox) and Hidden Figures (Fox 2000). Prior to Fox, Hunter worked in independent casting on such TV and film projects as Avengers: Age of Ultron, Guardians of the Galaxy, Agent Carter, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Chef, The Jungle Book and Safe House.
