The 15-minute live-action Adult Swim series from the anti-comedy sketch troupe Million Dollar Extreme will be going to series and now has a title: Million Dollar Extreme Presents: World Peace.
First announced last May as part of a group of pilot orders, World Peace stars Sam Hyde, Nick Rochefort and Charles Carroll, and is directed by Andy Ruse. The show, which hasn’t set a premiere date, goes into production later this month.
The Massachussets-based troupe is known for public pranks and online videos. The show will be set in a post-apocalyptic world barely ahead of the present day that satirizes the current political climate. It’s described as “a super pure tragicomedy rosary of pious prayers bringing unity, joy and excellent living to the people of all sizes, sexualities, and colors” that will “unlock your closeted bigoted imagination, toss your inherent racism into the burning trash and cleanse your intolerant spirit with pure unapologetic American funny_com.”
