Ryan Seacrest Productions has filled the leadership void in its unscripted division, which is now a subsidiary of Endemol Shine North America. Producer Teri Kennedy has been appointed as EVP, Development and Original Unscripted Programming, the first executive hire since the RSP-Endemol Shine partnership kicked in January 1. The unscripted operations were previously overseen by RSP President Eugene Young and EVP Rabih Gholam whose contracts ended at the end of 2015 and were not renewed, sources said. Young has since become Chief Content Officer at Levity Entertainment.
Kennedy, who has more than 20 years of experience in the production and development of unscripted series, will be responsible for developing, formatting and running new nonfiction series, as well as managing and overseeing all creative and logistic elements.

Most recently, Kennedy was head of current production for Oxygen Media, serving as the network’s production executive for Snapped, Best Ink, and The Face. She began her career as a freelance producer working on such such series as Survivor and The Real World.
Launched in 2006, RSP’s unscripted series portfolio includes the veteran E! Keeping Up with the Kardashians franchise and E! Live from the Red Carpet award shows, as well as Bravo’s Shahs of Sunset, and CMT’s I Love Kellie Pickler. The company has been looking to add a new breakout reality show to the roster.
RSP’s scripted division (NBC’s Shades of Blue), run by Nina Wass, has an overall deal at CBS TV Studios.
