Kyle Bornheimer has booked a recurring role on the second season of Hulu’s comedy series Casual. Written by up-and-coming scribe Zander Lehmann, Casual follows the story of a dysfunctional family with a bachelor brother (Tommy Dewey) and his newly divorced sister (Michaela Watkins). Together, they coach each other through the crazy world of dating — online and off — while living under one roof again and raising a teenager (Tara Lynne Barr). Bornheimer will play Jack, Michaela’s major love interest. He’s described as someone with hustle and swagger, he always has an angle on something. The kind of man who does what he wants, when he wants. Bornheimer was recently set to co-star opposite Courteney Cox in her Fox single-camera comedy pilot Charity Case (working title). He’s repped by Haven, UTA and Morris Yorn.
J.R. Ramirez (Power) is set as a recurring on Fox’s drama series Rosewood. He’ll play Frank Escajeda, originally from Miami, this former NYPD homicide detective now finds himself working out of the basement of the police station, heading up the East Miami PD Cold Case division. Haunted by a personal and mysterious murder that went unsolved, he throws himself head on into any case that presents even the smallest clue. Ramirez is currently a series regular on Starz’s Power, which just wrapped filming of Season 3, and he also recurs as “Ted ‘Wildcat’ Grant” on CW’s Arrow. He’s repped by manager Marie Mathews and Mavrick Artists Agency.
