Grey’s Anatomy executive producers/co-showrunners Stacy McKee and Bill Harper have each signed a new two-year overall deal with ABC Television Studios, the studio behind Shonda Rhimes’ long-running medical drama series.
Under the pacts, Harper and McKee will continue as executive producers and co-showrunners on Grey’s, which was recently renewed for next season, its 13th. Additionally the duo, who work under creator/executive producer Rhimes on Grey’s, will develop new projects for network, cable, and streaming services.
Grey’s is enjoying one of its strongest seasons in years, both creatively — dealing with the aftermath of McDreamy’s death — and ratings-wise, leading the Shondaland Thursday lineup.
McKee is one of only two writers to have worked on Grey’s since the beginning. She has written over 30 episodes, including a number of season premieres and finales. McKee is repped by UTA.
Harper began as a staff writer on Grey’s in 2008, working his way up to executive producer and co-showrunner. He is repped by CAA and attorneys David Matlof and Ryan Nord.
