EXCLUSIVE: Willow Smith, the daughter of Hollywood power couple Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, has signed with UTA. The agency will rep her in music, touring, film, TV, digital, licensing and endorsements, among others. The signing was competitive.
Smith is best known for her single “Whip My Hair” which was released in 2010. It was the best-selling debut single from a new artist that year and earning her the title of youngest artist ever in the U.S. to have a double platinum single. She released her debut album Ardipithecus in December.
In addition, she’s followed brother Jaden with film roles, too, with credits including Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, a voice role in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (along with her mother) and I Am Legend opposite her father. On the fashion side, Smith recently teamed with Stance Socks to create her own line of signature socks to be released this year. She can also be seen in the company’s latest ad campaign.
Smith, who had been with Paradigm, continues to be repped by manager Miguel Melendez, Jason Sloane and Hertz, Lichtenstein & Young.
