The Ink Factory, the ambitious multi-platform production company that has its high-end TV adaptation of John le Carré’s The Night Manager playing in Berlin, has made three key hires as it continues to expand. Becky Sloviter joins the company’s LA office as SVP of development and production. She joins new hires Mona Qureshi and Emma Broughton, brought on as co-heads of development and production in London, and Jane Frazer in the role of head of physical production. Yogita Puri also joined recently as head of commercial and business affairs.
Sloviter joins from Cross Creek Pictures and MGM prior to that. Qureshi was previously a script consultant, and a programme director for the JJ Charitable Trust Screenwriting Bursary. She was also previously Head of Development for Ruby Films, where she was responsible for commissioning and developing a broad slate of feature film and television projects, and prior to that was at BBC Films. Alongside Sloviter, Qureshi will work across the company’s development slate with specific creative focus on curating The Ink Factory’s le Carré library in London. Broughton worked in-house at BBC in Drama Production for eight years as books exec and head of development, as well as working for five years in BBC Films as development exec. Based in London, Frazer first worked with The Ink Factory as co-producer on Our Kind Of Traitor, and soon after, joined the company to oversee production on The Night Manager. Prior to joining The Ink Factory, Frazer was the head of physical production at Brit production powerhouse Working Title, where she oversaw production on films including Four Weddings And A Funeral, Notting Hill, Elizabeth and Dead Man Walking.
“These appointments underpin the rapid expansion of The Ink Factory, both in the US and UK. Becky, Mona, Emma, Yogita, and Jane bring unique and valuable experience in their respective disciplines and will be integral as we continue to grow our company,” said Ink Factory co-founders Simon and Stephen Cornwell. “We are thrilled to be adding strength in depth to what is already a wonderful team.”

Most recently at Arts Alliance, Puri was responsible for producing and acquiring feature length content for global theatrical distribution. Previously, Puri headed up business affairs at a UK film distribution and production company where she worked on over 250 titles and, prior to that, worked as an attorney across studio and independent films.
