Based on the original Fisher Price brand and created for children ages 2-5, Little People celebrates the power of collaborative play. In the series, preschoolers are invited to join five lovable ‘little people’ as they embark on imaginative adventures, inspired by their playful antics in a typical suburban backyard.
Sprout has ordered 52 11-minute episodes that will air Monday through Friday at 7 AM ET on the NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment preschool network. Each episode includes a lesson in personal or social development and a variety of musical, comedy and make-believe moments – all loosely woven together in a sketch show format. Ron Slaby, a Ph.D. affiliated with the Center on Media and Child Health, Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, will provide guidance on the series.

The first season of Little People already has been sold to other broadcasters around the world including Cartoonito (UK), RTL (Netherlands), Discovery Kids (LATAM), E-TV (South Africa),TV Cultura (Brazil) Televisa (Mexico).
In addition to broadcast, the series will be available on Sprout’s TV Anywhere beginning March 7 and across Sprout’s VOD and digital platforms beginning March 20.
