Former CMT exec Hector Campos has joined UP network as vice president, programming. In his new role, he’ll be responsible for long and short-term program planning and ongoing needs analysis with regard to acquisitions. He is based in Atlanta and reports to Sophia Karteris Kelley, senior vice president, programming.
“Hector is a cable industry veteran with a long string of accomplishments in programming strategy, acquisition and scheduling at Turner Broadcasting System and CMT,” Kelley said. “His experience will enable him to fully leverage our programming inventory on all linear and non-linear platforms to support our goals and continue to grow our audience and business.”
Campos most recently was vice president of programming and acquisitions for Viacom-owned CMT, where he was responsible for programming strategy, promotion and scheduling across linear and digital platforms of CMT and CMT Pure. Previously, Campos spent a decade at Turner Broadcasting System in Atlanta, where he held a variety of positions including director of program acquisition and sales for the Turner Entertainment Group.
