The second episode of new NBC drama Shades Of Blue, which faced the GOP Presidential Debate, saw its Live+Same Day adults 18-49 rating grow by 72% in Live+3, from a 1.32 rating to a 2.27. That’s up from a 58% L+3 increase for the show’s January 7 series debut (1.81 to 2.86). The absolute increase of 0.95 of a rating point is the third-biggest L+3 gain this season for Week 2 of a new series on the Big 4 networks, behind NBC’s Blindspot (1.6) and ABC’s Quantico (1.42).
With the lift, Episode 2 of Shades Of Blue was down 20.6% from the premiere among adults 18-49 in L+3 vs. 28% in L+SD.
In total viewers, Shades grew by 3.75 million viewers, or 56% (6.6 million vs. 10.4 million), up from 46% in Week 1 (8.6 million vs. 12.5 million).
