HBO’s Last Week Tonight host John Oliver has some advice for keeping those New Year’s resolutions you’ve probably already broken. Lower your expectations — and revise them if you’ve failed. If exercise is one of your resolutions, “stop beating yourself up if you haven’t gone to the gym” and do something else to get your heart rate up — like “instead of jogging simply try waking up late for work or taking a pregnancy test.”
