EXCLUSIVE: Although Broad Green left Sundance 2015 with what proved to be the fest’s biggest-grossing acquisition in A Walk In The Woods, the company continues to expand into original productions. Broad Green has acquired Bad Influence, a pitch that will be written by Tyger Williams.
Williams, who scripted the Screen Gems hit The Perfect Guy, here will write a film about a single mom who faces off against her son’s ex-girlfriend after a passionate romance turns to obsession. The film will be produced by Offspring partners Jennifer Gibgot and Adam Shankman. Williams met Gibgot after The Perfect Guy grossed $60 million, and they developed the thriller idea together. Alix Madigan will oversee for Broad Green. Williams is repped by UTA and Benderspink.
