After taking a dip against the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship on ESPN last Monday, new NBC comedies Superstore (1.6 in adults 18-49), Telenovela (1.1) and ABC’s The Bachelor (2.1) all rebounded,with the comedies inching up a tenth from last week, while The Bachelor rose by two tenths. Meanwhile, NBC’s The Biggest Loser (1.0) continued its downward trajectory, shedding another tenth.
After taking a break to avoid the clash with football, CBS’ Monday drama lineup returned to originals. Veteran NCIS: Los Angeles continued its solid run of form, with 10.5 million total viewers and a 1.6 in 18-49, matching its most recent season-high delivery, which was the drama’s best showing in 10 months. The other two CBS dramas were off in their return. Supergirl (1.9) dipped a tenth and Scorpion (2.0) slipped two tenths.

Fox tested a celebrity edition of MasterChef with a special, which drew an OK not great did 4.1 million viewers and a 1.4 in the demo. The CW aired a comedy special.
CBS won the night in total viewers (10.2 million) and 18-48 (1.8).
