B.J. Britt is suiting up for Lifetime’s fake reality show. On Season 2 of UnReal, he’ll play Darius Hill, a handsome and eligible pro quarterback who is the first African-American suitor on the fictitious dating competition Everlasting. Darius’ casting is a coup for producers Quinn (Constance Zimmer) and Rachel (Shiri Appleby) because the ladies swoon for the athlete with a million-dollar smile, sweetness and swagger. Meanwhile, he’s hoping to charm his way out of a PR scandal. But Darius has no idea that the ride he’s about to take on Everlasting will change his life forever.
Created by Marti Noxon and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro, the rookie season of scripted drama UnReal made the AFI’s list of the 10 best shows of 2015. Last week, Hulu picked up streaming rights to the show. Production on Season 2 is set to begin in March for a summer premiere.
