Tina Fey brought her Donald Trump story to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night. Seems the Republican front-runner spent the night before the final GOP debate of 2015 seated in the orchestra at NBC’s Adele Christmas special, but right behind Fey. On Tonight Show, Fey acknowledged she’d been nice to Trump, but only because, she said, “we had the same baby nurse.”
“I was the biggest hypocrite of all time,” she said.
No matter. With what’s shaping up in the local meters to be strong Adele: Live In New York results for NBC at 10 PM as a lead-in, and Fey as his guest, Fallon matched his best Monday showing in metered-market households (3.3 rating) in 20 months. In adult 18-49 ratings in the local people meters, Fallon (1.2) topped the combined results of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live (0.7) and CBS’ Late Show With Stephen Colbert (0.4).
And Trump got sighted in the Adele special, then discussed by Fey and Fallon on Tonight Show. Everybody wins.
