Larry Shuman’s boutique literary management firm The Shuman Company has promoted A.B. Fischer to partner. Fischer is the first manager at the company to be elevated to a partner status alongside Shuman.
Fischer, who started his career in feature development, launched his own management company, which he ran for 4 1/2 years before joining The Shuman Company 10 years ago. His list of TV writer clients includes a number on executive producer/co-executive producer level: Cheo Coker (Luke Cage), Jack Kenny (Warehouse 13), Etan Frankel (Shameless), Eric Charmelo & Nicole Snyder (Ringer, Supernatural), Angela Kang (The Walking Dead), Jami O’Brien (Hell On Wheels), Robert Horn (Partners), Courtney Lilly (Black-ish), Alex McNally (Under The Dome) and Allen MacDonald (Reckless).
In addition to Shuman and Fischer, the Shuman Co.’s staff includes three other managers: Steve Simons (formerly of ICM and nine years with TSC), Steven Selikoff (formerly of WMA and five years with TSC) and Robert Lazar (formerly of ICM/Resolution and a year with TSC).
Shuman Co. clients include House creator David Shore, The Shield creator Shawn Ryan, Longmire creators Hunt Baldwin & John Coveny and The Inside and Drive co-creator Tim Minear. On the producing side, Shuman executive produces Lifetime’s Devious Maids and produced the upcoming Will Smith movie Concussion.
