The leading candidate for the 2016 Democratic Presidential nomination will be back in town early next year in the house that Kermit built. Hillary Clinton is coming back to L.A. on January 7 for some more visits to the seemingly bottomless Hollywood donor well.
In what is termed as a “family celebration with Hillary,” the former Secretary of State will be at Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood for $500 to $2,700 per ticket event. Lisa Henson, daughter of The Muppets creator, and her Emmy-nominated husband, animator David Pressler, is hosting the mid-afternoon fundraiser that first week of January.
Clinton will then head over to another event at the home of producer and author Karen Mack and her City National Bank Chair and CEO spouse Russell Goldsmith. If that doesn’t add a new line or two to rival Sen. Bernie Sanders’ speeches that Clinton is too close to big money, billionaire Warren Buffet will be joining the ex-First Lady at the Mack/Goldsmith event.
Next month’s trip to L.A. will be Clinton’s sixth campaign cash seeking visit to town since formally announcing her White House bid in the spring. The ex-N.Y. Senator was last seen locally looking for Hollywood dough on November 5, when she also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
