Real Housewives‘ Bethenny Frankel has signed an overall deal with Leftfield Entertainment, Frankel and Leftfield Entertainment CEO Brent Montgomery announced today. Under the pact, Frankel will develop and produce projects with Leftfield, via her newly launched B Real Productions banner. The news comes just ahead of the December 3 premiere of Food Porn on FYI, the first series to come from the deal produced by Loud TV (part of the Leftfield Entertainment Group, an ITV Studios company), and executive produced by Frankel.
In addition to Food Porn, BRP and Leftfield’s current projects also include Closet Porn and Cocktail Porn. Going forward, the companies say they will be developing and producing original projects that tap into Frankel’s passion and expertise in areas such as food and beverage, business, branding and lifestyle, amongst other genres.
“I’m excited to be launching B Real Productions and producing creative and innovative content with Brent, Adam and the rest of the Leftfield team,” said Frankel. “In addition to my time in front of the camera, I am enjoying being behind-the-scenes developing bold, disruptive and real programming.”
“Bethenny’s super-human drive, innate sense of what can gain traction in the marketplace and in the media, and her amazing entrepreneurial spirit make her a true complement and fit for Leftfield” added Montgomery. “She’s a total original and we’re eager to join forces to launch into Bethenny’s “porn”-oriented food, fashion and lifestyle worlds, and beyond.”
Leftfield Entertainment’s CCO Adam Sher brokered the deal with Frankel and CAA.
