BBC One has commissioned a second series of Danny Brocklehurst’s Ordinary Lies. The first series, which debuted this year, reached an average consolidated audience of more 6 million viewers. The second series will feature six hourlong episodes and goes into production next year.
The show is produced by StudioCanal-owned and UK-based production company Red and follows the lives of an everyday workforce. The second series will be set in the headquarters of a large national sports company. Brocklehurst created the show and also writes and exec produces. Emily Feller produces with Nicola Shindler exec producing for Red.
BBC Drama Commissioning controller Polly Hill and BBC One controller Charlotte Moore commissioned the second season.
