Parker Young (Suburgatory) and Stephen Bishop (Being Mary Jane) have been cast opposite Inbar Lavi in My So Called Wife, Bravo Media’s hourlong dark comedy pilot from Adam Brooks, Paul Adelstein and Universal Cable Prods.
Written by Brooks and Adelstein and to be directed by Brooks, My So Called Wife follows Maddie (Lavi), a master-of-disguise con-artist who gets men and women to fall in love with her, marries them and then disappears with their money and just enough dirty inside information to guarantee they will never go to the police. But things get complicated when she falls in love with her latest mark, and three of her last victims join together to track her down.
Young plays Richard, a former football star who was conned into a marriage with Maddie, known to him as “Alice”. He is on a quest to track her down. Bishop plays Patrick, a widower who just sold his hedge fund company, and meets “Saffron” (Maddie) and is immediately intrigued.
Suburgatory and Enlisted alum Young, who has been recurring in a season long arc on the CW’s Arrow, is repped by Gersh and David Dean Management. Bishop is repped by Greene & Associates, Weiner Management and attorney Dave Feldman.
