Featuring a visit by Dem White House hopeful Hillary Clinton, Thursday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! ranked No. 1 among late-night shows in households (2.5/7) in the 56 metered markets in a tie with NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy Kimmel’s Hollywood-based show beat CBS’ The Late Show With Stephen Colbert (2.1/6) by 19%. Kimmel matched his best early household stat since an NBA Finals-led broadcast June 11. Excluding that sports-fueled night, Kimmel tied his highest-rated Thursday in homes since President Obama visited the show on March 12.
JKL clocked a demo 0.7/4 in markets with LPM, trailing Fallon’s 0.9/5 but ahead of Colbert’s 0.5/3.
Stopping by Kimmel’s show on her campaign’s charm offensive during a fundraising visit to Los Angeles, having previously visited New York-based Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert shows, Clinton learned from a panel of children that women should not be president because they’re too girly and told Kimmel she plans to watch GOP frontrunner Donald Trump on tomorrow night’s Saturday Night Live.
