Unless you were watching the Buffalo Bills beat the New York Jets 22-17 last night, there wasn’t a lot of movement in primetime on Thursday – at least not in ratings. With the exception on Heroes Reborn (1.1.4) and Grey’s Anatomy (2.2/8) almost every thing else on the Big 4 and the CW was even with last week.
While not a low for the event miniseries, the NBC show fell 15% from the 5-week high of its November 5 show. Heroes Reborn’s 8PM slot rival over on ABC saw a 4% dip among adults 18-49 from its airing last week. Overall ABC topped the night among the demo with a 2.1/7 rating. While CBS isn’t showing NFL games on Thursdays anymore this season, the net’s local affiliates are picking up gridiron battles that are being played on NFL Network. And that meant last night, that the mega-market of NY as well as Buffalo were pre-empted on local CBS stations with the Jets vs. Bills game.

All of which is to say, that even though 2 Broke Girls (2.0/6) made its fifth season debut on a new night last night, CBS results are inflated and tentative. For the record, The Big Bang Theory drew a 3.8/13, Life In Pieces had a 2.3/7, Mom had a 2.0/6 and Elementary got a 1.3/4 – all up from last week obviously. Overall, the network pulled in a 2.1/7 rating and 8.99 million viewers
Matching last week in the key demo, the rest of the fast nationals for last night are: Bones (1.1/4), The Vampire Diaries (0.6/2), Sleepy Hollow (0.9/3), Scandal (2.2/7), The Blacklist (1.4/4), The Originals (0.4/1), How To Get Away With Murder (1.9/6) and The Player (0.7/2)
