Who ever would have guessed terrorism’s fiercest opponent looks a lot like Kellan Lutz? In Lionsgate Premiere’s new trailer for Extraction, Lutz handles heavy-duty, high-kicking action as Harry Turner, a government analyst who goes rogue to rescue his kidnapped dad, retired CIA agent Leonard Turner (Bruce Willis). Although he’s been turned down for field service, Lutz’s motorcycle-riding tough-guy wonk launches his own mission to find Pops, taking on assassins, terrorists and — judging by the trailer — a biker gang in a pool hall. Not that the stakes are high or anything: The cyberterrorists only have all of the world’s nukes ready to spring their silos and head toward the United States.
Gina Carano plays another CIA operative who hunts down Lutz while he’s hunting Willis. “So you have no plan?” she asks, after catching up to the rogue. “Works in the movies,” he responds, a line worthy of Willis’ knowing smirk (fully on display throughout the trailer).
Directed by Steven C. Miller (Submerged) from a script by Umair Aleem and Max Adams (Heist), Extraction also stars D.B. Sweeney, Dan Bilzerian, Olga Valentina, Lydia Hull and Tyler J. Olson. The international thriller hits theaters and on-demand December 18.
