If you’re freaked out with impatience, here’s a quick fix to tide you over until the show’s debut Halloween night. If you’re on the fence about watching it, here’s proof that the tv series revival of the Evil Dead horror-comedy series is at least getting the tone right. The series sees Bruce Campbell and his amazing chin reprise their career-making role as Ash Williams, the heavily traumatized, know-it-all jerk who also happens to be amazing at fighting, and killing the forces of evil. And as the show takes pains to point out in this clip, the years have not been kind. Overweight and living in a trailer park, Ash is reduced to wearing a painful girdle and satyisfying his dating needs picking up desperate barflies by lying about his achievements. Naturally the woman he picks up here turns out to be a deadite, who reveals herself in flagrante delicto. Sold, Starz. Sold.

Ash vs The Evil Dead premieres on Starz Halloween night, and runs for 10-episodes. Joining Campbell are Lucy Lawless, Jill Marie Jones, Ray Santiago, and Dana Delorenzo.
