Here we go again. After a couple of extensions, Tribune Broadcasting’s carriage agreement with AT&T U-Verse is set to expire Tuesday at 2 PM, and Tribune is warning its customers that the two sides are unlikely to make a deal before the deadline. Tribune’s Los Angeles station KTLA on Monday night ran a frequent “Final notice for AT&T subscribers” crawl during its primetime shows, something other Tribune stations are believed to have done too.
“At 2 PM PT Tuesday, October 20, KTLA will likely go dark,” it read. “Despite our continuing and best efforts, A&T U-Verse will deny you your KTLA.”
The most recent carriage agreement between Tribune and AT&T expired at midnight on September 30. It was originally extended for 24 hours as the two sides continued talks, followed by more extensions.
