NBC has put in development The Russians Are Coming, a single-camera comedy from Universal Television and Mila Kunis’ Orchard Farm Productions. Written/co-executive produced by Sam Wolfson (Finding Carter), The Russians Are Coming is not related to the 1966 feature comedy. It is described as a semi-autobiographical comedy that follows a fish-out-of-water husband when his Russian in-laws move in upstairs. Kunis executive produces along with her Orchard Farm partners Cami Curtis, Susan Curtis, and Lisa Sterbakov.
This marks the latest sale for Orchard Farm, repped by CAA and Patti Felker. The company also has single-camera comedy Champion: The Jeff Beekman Story, which landed a put pilot commitment at Fox; drama Black Stiletto, based on the novels by Raymond Benson, at ABC; and horror comedy Trapped at Starz with Rob Zombie.
