Disney has set a release date of October 7, 2016, for DreamWorks’ feature adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ bestselling novel The Girl On The Train. The film from The Help director Tate Taylor tells the story of Rachel (Emily Blunt), a divorcee who goes on a train to London and spots Scott and Megan (Haley Bennett), who seem to have the perfect life as a couple. However, events turn for the worse, with Rachel finding herself embroiled in the murder mystery.
Rebecca Ferguson, off the hot success of Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, landed the role of Anna back in August.
Girl On The Train is opening wide against Warner Bros’ Ben Affleck drama The Accountant, 20th Century Fox’scomic book film Gambit — a spinoff from X-Men Origins: Wolverine — and Universal’s fantasy film Monster High.
