Last night’s Saturday Night Live Season 41 premiere was up +13% in Nielsen metered-market households over last year’s premiere (4.5 rating compared to 4.0) hosted by Chris Pratt. The opener, hosted by Miley Cyrus with an appearance by Hillary Clinton and a slew of Donald Trump jokes, marked the comedy show’s highest household rating since January 24, when country star and Voice coach Blake Shelton was the host and musical guest.
The episode’s 2.0 rating among adults 18-49, per local people meters, was on par, down a tenth from the 2.1 of last year’s premiere.
Last night’s episode beat last season’s May 16 finale, with the 4.5 up 18% in metered-market households over the 3.8 of the finale. Total viewer estimates will be available later this week.
