ABC Buys Paul Lieberstein Legal Dramedy

Former The Office executive producer/showrunner Paul Lieberstein has sold a second broadcast project, the hourlong Negotiations. Set up at ABC through ABC Studios, Negotiations is a comedic drama about life, politics and romance in one of the world’s largest law firms. Lieberstein will write the script and will executive produce alongside 3 Arts’ Howard Klein.

This would mark the second consecutive hourlong series for comedy veteran Lieberstein, who recently served as an executive producer on HBO’s The Newsroom.

Negotiations joins a half-hour single-camera comedy Lieberstein is writing with Jon Gabrus for Fox, via ABC Studios and Adam Pally’s studio-based Clone Wolf Productions. Lieberstein, repped by CAA and 3 Arts, also is executive producing that project with Klein.
