EXCLUSIVE: As he awaits word on a possible second season of Fox’s Wayward Pines, Matt Dillon has signed with UTA. The veteran actor, whose résumé dates back to My Bodyguard and Little Darlings, had been with CAA. Dillon is hot off toplining the 10-episode event series Wayward Pines, the first TV project from feature helmer M. Night Shyalaman.
Dillon next plays an FBI agent pursuing some aged neo-crooks in Zach Braff’s remake of Going In Style. The pic stars Michael Caine, Alan Arkin and Morgan Freeman as the retirees-turned-robbers played in the 1979 film by George Burns, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg, respectively. Dillon scored an Oscar nom for his supporting turn in Best Picture winner Crash, and other recent credits include Bad Country, The Art Of The Steal and Pawn Shop Chronicles. His long career also includes key roles in such features as You, Me & Dupree, In & Out, There’s Something About Mary, To Die For, Singles, Drugstore Cowboy and The Outsiders. He also wrote, directed and starred in the 2002 crime thriller City Of Ghosts.
