CBS has bought Married With Roommates, a multi-camera comedy from former Cougar Town co-executive producers Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger. Inspired by an April article in the New York Times, Married With Roommates centers on a young, recently married couple in New York City who realize they can’t afford their own place and decide the best option is to start their life together… in an apartment with three roommates. Lisbe and Reger will write the script and executive produce with David Janollari and Storied Media Group’s Dennis Kim and Todd Hoffman. Universal TV, where Janollari is based, is the studio.
Lisbe and Reger serve as showrunners on TruTV’s Jake & Amir pilot and were co-executive producers on TBS’ Your Family Or Mine. They are repped by ICM Partners and attorney Jeff Frankel.
In addition to Married With Roommates, Janollari also has comedy Manhood, from writers Jay Baxter & Shaun Zaken, set at NBC.
