John Wells Prods. has promoted Jinny Howe to EVP and Head of Television. In her new role, Howe will spearhead the development and production of drama and comedy projects for broadcast and cable, reporting to Wells.
Howe, who served as SVP Television at JWP, succeeds longtime President of Television Andrew Stearn, who left last month to become President of Working Title Television.
At Warner Bros TV-based JWP, Howe, who joined the company in 2005, has overseen the development of Showtime’s Shameless, TNT drama pilot Animal Kingdom and NBC/TNT drama Southland. She also has been responsible for the development and production of digital media related to all JWP programming.
“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to continue working with Jinny in this new capacity,” Wells said. “Over the past five years, she has proven herself to be an exceptionally talented executive with excellent relationships within the creative community.”
Prior to joining JWP, Howe worked in the talent division at Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
