What’s with Jimmy Fallon? Great guy, but lately it seems like he’s tending to be a bit of a klutz. Just four months after he nearly lost one of the fingers on his left hand in a more serious fall, Fallon stumbled and fell among a crowd of well-wishers and cut his right hand Saturday night. Fallon was in Boston celebrating his Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor from the Harvard Lampoon when he tripped and lost his balance after grabbing a bottled beverage. Apparently he didn’t see a woman who had knelt suddenly in his path just as he was turning to walk in her direction.
“Jimmy went to the ground, and everybody asked if he was OK,” said one parade-goer. “He said he was fine.”
The Tonight Show host went to Massachusetts General Hospital to make sure there was no glass in his hand, according to reports. Everything checked out and afterward he returned to the party.
Interestingly, Instagram photos posted at different times show the hand injured Saturday night with his hand almost fully bandaged in white, and the other image posted later Sunday shows the hand with just one finger with a Band-Aid, which is consistent with Fallon’s joking comment that it’s “nothing that a few Band-Aids couldn’t fix.”
