On the heels of strong ratings, Spike has ordered a 13-episode second season of Ink Master: Redemption. It’s slated for premiere in the spring, coinciding with Season 7 of mothership Ink Master.
Ink Master: Redemption is averaging 1.8 million viewers and ranks No. 1 in its timeslot with Adults 18-49 in its debut season, according to Spike. The half-hour Spike original series has also improved the timeslot (vs last year) by an increase of 162% with adults 18-49, up 150% with men 18-49, +174% with women 18-49, and +156% in total viewership.
The Ink Master spinoff, hosted by Dave Navarro, offers disgruntled former human canvases of Ink Master a chance to receive a new tattoo that leaves them happier than their last.
Ink Master: Redemption is produced for Spike by Original Media (Swamp People) with Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Andrea Richter, and Navarro serving as executive producers. Original Media is a subsidiary of Endemol Shine North America.
