Jeff Elliott and Chad Moore’s production company The Green-Light Group has launched Green-Light International, a new overseas sales, distribution and financing company. Former International Film Trust president and Voltage Pictures exec Christian de Gallegos has been appointed president of the new venture, which opens its doors just in time for next month’s American Film Market in Santa Monica.
Three films are already on Green-Light’s slate exec produced by Elliott and Moore: the Daniel Radcliffe-starring FBI thriller Imperium, which just added Toni Collette, Tracy Letts and Sam Trammell; the James Lapine thriller drama Custody with Viola Davis, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Hayden Panettiere and Ellen Burstyn; and the sci-fi horror pic Antibirth starring Natasha Lyonne, Chloë Sevigny, Meg Tilly and Mark Webber.
De Gallegos, a former Voltage Pictures VP, will oversee the sales and distribution strategy for films produced under the Green-Light Group banner as well as titles produced independently by Elliott and Moore. He also will source third-party acquisitions along with Elliott and Moore to boost the international sales slate.
“Jeff and Chad have a simple, yet smart recipe for success – produce budget conscious, high-quality films with compelling stories for a theatrical release worldwide,” de Gallegos said in the announcement of his new post. “It’s very exciting to be teaming up with Jeff and Chad on our new venture.”
