EXCLUSIVE– Chris Goble, a literary manager for the past 2 years at Grandview, is transitioning to Senior VP of TV production and development at Automatik. Automatik had been looking to bring in a TV exec to expand its burgeoning television slate.
Though separate companies, Grandview and Automatik are partnered together. Managers at Grandview focus solely on management, without producing the films or television shows of their clients. Automatik is solely a production house and produced Jeff Nichols’ next film Midnight Special and is in post on Zack Whedon’s Come and Find Me starring Aaron Paul.
Goble has developed and helped set up two of his client’s pilots, Beyond at FreeForm and Wilding at USA. That experience left him wanting to focus on the day-to-day of producing rather than managing clients. Goble’s current clients are discussing transition plans with Grandview.
“I am thrilled to have Chris Goble helping lead the charge on our TV development front,” said Automatik’s Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. “Chris’ development skills and ability to take a simple logline and convert into a TV pilot in production is unbelievable.”
