Lionsgate is enhancing its digital footprint with the purchase of Dirty Thirty, a follow-up to Camp Takota. The pic features YouTube personalities Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart and Hannah Hart. Andrew Bush (Roller Town) will direct the script from Mamrie Hart and Molly Prather. The film, which reunites stars and production team from Camp Takota, revolves around a birthday party that goes off the rails. Helbig, Hart and Hart will serve as executive producers along with Ken Treusch and Vincent Nastri. Michael Goldfine (#O2LForever, The Outfield) is producing and IMG Films is executive producing the project.
Lionsgate will roll out the film on various digital platforms. WME and CAA brokered the deal for the movie with Lionsgate. Hannah Hart is repped by UTA, Bleecker Street and attorney Ryan Pastorek. Grace Helbig is with WME, Bleecker Street and attorney Melissa Fox, who also reps Mamrie Hart along with CAA and Bleecker.
Screen Media Ventures is partnering with Moon River Studios’ FonU2 and Magna Entertainment on U.S. distribution for Nick Cassavetes’ dark comedy Yellow. Starring Sienna Miller, Melanie Griffith, Heather Wahlquist, and Ray Liotta, the film follows Mary Holmes (Wahlquist), who has a drug habit among other vices. FONU2 plans a limited theatrical release with a worldwide digital bow to follow. No official release date has been announced, however, the film is expected to roll in the first quarter of 2016. Screen Media Ventures also is handling foreign sales.
