Rules Of Engagement creator Tom Hertz is back at CBS with another multi-camera comedy. The untitled project hails from Will Arnett’s Electric Avenue and CBS TV Studios, where the company had a first-look deal (it sincemoved to Sony TV, but this project stems from that previous tie-up). Written by Hertz, it is a workplace ensemble comedy set at a public high school. Hertz and Arnett executive produce alongside Peter Principato of Principato-Young Entertainment, Gerry Dee and Mike Volpe. Electric Avenue’s Jed Weitzman is producing.
Arnett recently wrapped the first season of Flaked for Netflix, which he stars in and produces through Electric Avenue and Principato Young. It’s slated to to premiere in early 2016. He’s set to appear in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel for Paramount, along with Lego Batman, for Warner Bros. and is voicing Season 3 of Netflix’s BoJack Horseman.
Arnett, Hertz and Weitzman are repped by WME. Arnett is also repped by Principato Young and attorney Robert Offer.
