Adaptive Studios has tapped Paramount and Miramax veteran Grady Gamble as Chief Operating and Financial Officer, charged with overseeing day-to-day operations for the studio’s corporate offices and finance. Gamble previously worked at Paramount as Executive Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development. Before that he was at Miramax where he worked with Adaptive Studios co-founders TJ Barrack and Marc Joubert.
Adaptive has been ramping up in several areas since helping HBO reboot the Project Greenlight franchise with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck — part of its plan to recapture and exploit abandoned Hollywood IP. It is also prepping a film adaptation of Sara Benincasa’s novel DC Trip with Van Toffler and Bona Fide Productions.
The company also has book division with titles including The Silence Of Six and Shadow Of A Doubt and last November launched Adapted Comics, which produces graphic novels and comics.
