Tom Degnan (Madam Secretary, The Following) has booked a major recurring role in CBS’ sci-fi drama Limitless, based on the 2011 feature starring Bradley Cooper, who is reprising his role as a recurring guest star and serves as an executive producer. The series centers on Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) — a new character that exists in the same world as the movie’s Eddie Mora (Cooper) — who discovers the brain-boosting power of the mysterious drug NZT and is coerced by the FBI into using his extraordinary cognitive abilities to solve complex cases for them. Degnan will play Agent Ike, a physically fit FBI agent in charge of watching over Brian (McDorman). He’s repped by Global Artists Agency and Crimson Media Group.
Andy Daly (Review) has landed a recurring role on John Stamos’ Fox comedy Grandfathered. It centers on Jimmy (Stamos), a charismatic longtime bachelor whose life is upended when he discovers he’s a father — and a grandfather. Daly will play Bruce, an all-American, fleece-wearing dad type who is back in town after working as an aeronautical engineer in China for years. Bruce used to date Sara (Paget Brewster) off and on when Gerald (Josh Peck) was a kid and, in many ways, he served as a surrogate father. While Bruce is extremely well-mannered and a little dorky, he can seemingly do anything, which drives Jimmy (Stamos) crazy. Daly currently stars as critic Forrest MacNeil on Comedy Central’s Review.
