Kevin Michael Martin and Bren Foster have been upped to series regulars for the third season of Michael Bay’s action-adventure TNT series The Last Ship.
Martin, who recurred heavily in the first two seasons, plays Eric Miller, the well-intentioned seaman and youngest member of Cobra team. Foster plays Senior Chief Wolf Taylor, an Australian naval operator who joined the crew in Norfolk this past season.
Based on William Brinkley’s novel, The Last Ship chronicles a global catastrophe that nearly decimates the world’s population. Because of its positioning, the Navy destroyer USS Nathan James avoided falling victim to the devastating tragedy, forcing Captain Chandler (Eric Dane), XO Slattery (Adam Baldwin) and the ship’s crew to confront the reality of their new existence in a world where they are among the few remaining survivors.
Martin, repped by TalentWorks and Protege Entertainment, recently worked with David Fincher on HBO’s Video Synchronicity. Other credits include guest-starring roles on Desperate Housewives, NCIS and Franklin & Bash, as well as the TV movie Wild Card. Foster, repped by APA and Morrissey Management in Australia, is best known for his role as Quinn Hudson on the daytime drama Days Of Our Lives.
The Last Ship comes to TNT from Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes and its partners, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form. Bay, Fuller and Form serve as executive producers, along with creator-showrunners Hank Steinberg, Steven Kane and executive producer Michael Katleman.
