UPDATED, with second-episode info. Showtime is drawing the curtain today on Season 2 of The Affair, giving viewers a gander on multiple platforms prior to the drama’s return on October 4. Showtime also will make the second episode of The Affair available a week early, exclusively to subscribers on Showtime Anytime, Showtime on Demand and through the Showtime streaming service. Subscribers can watch Episode 2 of the new season at 11 p.m. ET immediately following the season’s 10 p.m. debut on October 4.
Starting today, viewers can watch a free, TV-14 version of The Affair, starring Dominic West, Ruth Wilson and Maura Tierney, on YouTube and SHO.com. The premiere also is available on the Showtime Preview app on Smart TVs from Samsung, LG and Panasonic, as well as for download as a free video podcast on iTunes.
Showtime subscribers can watch the episode on Showtime On Demand, Showtime Anytime and showtime.com, the stand-alone streaming service available through Apple and Roku players and Roku TV models, as well as through Hulu and Sony PlayStation Vue.
Nonsubscribers can sample the episode for free via Roku, PlayStation Vue and Hulu or via free on-demand channels, websites and applications for various television providers including AT&T U-verse and DirecTV, Charter Communications, Comcast’s Xfinity TV, Cox Communications, DIish, Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS.
