Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has shaken up some of its international staffing with several new appointments or exec moves. The changes span the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as Canada. Chief among the restructure is evp of international distribution Mike Wald, who will now be in charge of selling, distributing and managing Sony Pictures’ feature films and TV series to international free television, basic cable, subscription pay television and new media platforms, as well as head up SPT’s distribution across Asia-Pacific. Angel Orengo, will move from Hong Kong, where he oversaw the Asia-Pacific territory, to the London office, where he will lead SPT’s EMEA team as evp of international distribution. Alexander Marin, evp, intl distribution in Latin America and the Caribbean, will now also oversee Canada. The announcements were made by president of intl. distribution Keith LeGoy.
Other developments include Robert Lanier appointed svp of international distribution, Asia-Pacific, covering Australia, New Zealand and Japan as well as Ken Lo, senior vice president of international distribution, Asia-Pacific, overseeing SPT’s distribution in China, India, Korea and Southeast Asia, and based in Hong Kong.
