Niels Arden Oplev Inks Overall Deal With Universal TV

Coming off directing two pilots that went to series — the very well received USA drama Mr. Robot and NBC’s upcoming Game Of Silence — Niels Arden Oplev has signed an overall deal with NBC and USA sibling Universal TV.

Oplev has a very strong pilot directing record, with all of his U.S. pilots going to series to date. That also includes the CBS drama Unforgettable. Additionally, he helmed the highly-rated opening episode of the CBS summer drama series Under The Dome. Oplev, repped by ESA, the Shuman Co. and UK’s Curtis-Brown, is eyeing a feature directing gig at Sony’s sister studio, the film Flat Liners.
