The CW and iHeartMedia have inked a new multi-year deal for the network to remain the exclusive TV broadcaster of the two-day iHeartRadio Music Festival. The news today comes ahead of the latest edition of the fest airs as part of a two-night special tomorrow and Wednesday from 8-10 PM PT that CW has used to signal its fall season launch. As part of the new agreement, The CW will also telecast the annual holiday iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert.
This year’s Music Festival broadcast will feature performances from the two-day even earlier this month in Las Vegas featuring the likes of Coldplay, The Killers, Kanye West, Kenny Chesney, Puff Daddy, Jennifer Lopez, Blake Shelton, The Weeknd and Nick Jonas.
The iHeartRadio team has been shoring up its TV deals this year, making the move for its iHeartRadio Music Awards from a two-year run on NBC to Turner, where it aired on TNT, TBS and truTV in April.
