If ain’t broke it, don’t fix it (or move it). For a second straight week, NBC delayed Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris‘ move to 8 PM, keeping the variety series in its post-The Voice 10 PM slot. Best Time Ever originally was slated to air at 10 PM for its first two episodes, but when the second one perked up by 17% from the premiere when put behind The Voice’s Tuesday season opener last week, NBC opted to keep the show at 10 PM for one more airing. That stay has now been extended through next week after last night’s episode of Best Time Ever posted a 1.9 18-49 rating, down 10% from last week.
There can be no further delay. On October 13, Best Time Ever will shift to 8 PM as Chicago Fire launches its fourth season at 10 PM, with The Voice bridging the two programs.
