Broadchurch‘s Andrew Buchan and JoBeth Williams (Poltergeist, Dexter) are set to co-star along with Harris Dickinson (Some Girls) and Sawyer Barth (Public Morals, Black Box) in TNT pilot Home, a dramatic thriller from writer Aron Eli Coleite and Jerry Bruckheimer TV.
Home delves into the secrets lingering behind the façade of a seemingly idyllic suburban family. Rose Altman couldn’t be happier: An accomplished designer with a successful business, the newly pregnant Rose is thriving in a wonderful life with her husband, Joe (Buchan), a highly regarded prison psychologist, and enjoying being a stepmother to his two sons PK (Dickinson) and Nate (Barth). But her image of her perfect family is shattered when she discovers long-buried secrets that threaten to destroy the very foundation of her life.
Buchan’s Joe Altman is an affectionate father, son and husband to his second wife, Rose. As a prison psychologist, he strives to rehabilitate the most sociopathic inmates — following in his father Leo’s footsteps. Williams, repped by SDB Partners and the Coronel Group, plays Helen Altman, a children’s author/artist whose book was extremely successful. But she abruptly retired 40 years ago, preferring to focus on her family. Now, Helen’s daughter in-law, Rose, has lovingly renovated the family home so that Rose, Joe and his two sons can move in and take care of Helen after her husband, Leo, passed away.
Dickinson, repped by Luber Roklin Entertainment and Gersh, is PK, a smart, 17-year-old, a good athlete and a kind soul. He has obediently followed the path his father, Joe, laid out, but now he is ready to find his own identity. Barth, repped by CESD and Noble Talent Management, is Nate Altman, a 14-year-old with oppositional defiance disorder. He is anti-social, a compulsive liar and brilliant. Always in trouble with his dad Joe, Nate might finally have an ally in his new stepmother, Rose.
Home comes from Jerry Bruckheimer TV in association with Warner Horizon Television. Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman serve as executive producers alongside Coleite, who wrote the pilot, and Brad Anderson, who will direct. KristieAnne Reedis co-executive producer.
