The Wire alum Robert Wisdom has booked a heavily recurring role opposite Will Arnett in Netflix comedy series Flaked. Co-created by Arnett and Mark Chappell (The Increasingly Poor Decisions Of Todd Margaret), Flaked is the serio-comic story of Chip, a celebrated long-time resident of the insular world of Venice, CA, who falls for the object of his best friend’s fascination. Soon the tangled web of half-truths and semi-bullshit that underpins his all-important image and sobriety begins to unravel. Arnett plays Chip, a man doing his honest best to stay one step ahead of his own lies. Wisdom is George, who loves teasing Chip and isn’t afraid to abuse his police powers to do it, but also serves as a no-nonsense voice of reason. Wisdom, repped by Don Buchwald & Associates & Link Entertainment, also recently landed a supporting role in the Warner Bros feature Unforgettable.
Tara Karsian (Review, Shameless) has joined ABC’s new fall drama series Blood & Oil in a recurring role. Written by Josh Pate and Rodes Fishburne and executive produced by Tony Krantz, Blood & Oil centers on a young working-class couple (Chace Crawford, Rebecca Rittenhouse) who move to “The Bakken” in North Dakota, booming after the biggest oil discovery in American history. They’re pitted against a ruthless tycoon (Don Johnson) who forces them to bet big and put everything on the line, including their marriage. Karsian, repped by SDB Partners and Kyle Fritz Management, will initially appear to be just another patron at a Western diner, grumpy about the slow service, but things are not always as they seem.
