NBC has put in development Oh Mama, a single-camera comedy from How To Live With Your Parents creator Claudia Lonow, Keshet Studios and Universal TV. The project, based on a Keshet short story written by Ronit Weiss-Berkowitz, centers on an engaged couple, Daniel and Marjorie, who struggle to save their relationships when their mothers start having an affair… with each other. Lonow, who is under an overall deal, will write the script and will executive produce with Keshet Studios’ Peter Traugott.
This marks the first sale under the first-look deal recently launched Keshet Studios, the U.S.-based scripted studio of Keshet International, signed with Universal TV earlier this month.
Lonow, repped by WME and Jon Moonves, has created four shows that have gotten on the air: Accidentally On Purpose for CBS, Rude Awakening for Showtime, Good Girl’s Don’t for Oxygen and How To Live With Your Parents for ABC.
