One of the top clients of Gabrielle Krengel, the 49-year-old co-founder of Domain Talent who died Monday, was Jane Lynch, whom Krengel had represented for more than a decade. With Krengel by her side, Lynch got her breakout role on Fox’s musical dramedy Glee, which earned the actress an Emmy and a Golden Globe; signed on to host NBC’s Hollywood Game Night, which landed her another Emmy; hosted the Primetime Emmys; and toplines CBS’ upcoming comedy series Angel From Hell. Here is what Lynch said about the passing of her agent and friend:
Gabrielle was a one-of-a-kind force of nature who I had the immense pleasure of working side by side with over the past 13 years. She truly loved this business and was so beautifully devoted to the folks she represented. I was one of the lucky ones.
Lynch didn’t miss a chance to show her gratitude to Krengel when she was alive, with shoutouts like, “Gabrielle Krengel, you are the best agent in the world” and “I love you” in virtually every acceptance speech. Watch above Lynch’s tribute to her agent at the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards and below Lynch’s remarks after winning the 2011 Golden Globe.
